An Indiana couple was busted on public indecency charges for a 30-minute sexual encounter in a pool packed with two dozen disgusted witness - including some kids, according to police in Connersville, Ind.

Police officer Myron Helms, 33, and Victoria Cross, 40, were charged after their erotic Sunday splashdown at the Roberts Park Family Aquatic Center, TheSmokingGun.com reported.

The pool manager called the cops about the underwater action after confirming the complaints of witnesses with her own eyes.

"[She] walked right up behind them and when she realized what they were doing she advised them to stop," said a police report.

"[She] advised that when the female moved away from the male, she could see the male's penis."

Witnesses - all "visibly disturbed by the incident" - confirmed the account when two police officers arrived at the pool, the report said.

Helms, a reserve officer with the Laurel Police Department in Franklin County, was suspended without pay pending an investigation.

To me, the saddest thing about this story is that this has crossed my mind as a possibility!

No, I'm not in his situation, and I don't want to break the law, but I recently retired early from the sheriff department after 20 years and 20 above average evaluations. Ironically, I received the Sheriff's Medal of Merit a month before I got in trouble.

In 2010 I made a couple of bad decisions because of stress. Since the Correctional Mafia, I mean the politically connected powers that be, were in charge of my career at that point, my career went down hill like a titanic boulder, while they had smiles on there face. I will accept the ultimate blame and not hold ill will, except against a little bald headed Nazi-like little egomaniac punk sergeant, who I trained 13 years earlier, and made the mistake of letting this control freak off of training. All of this is my opinion only.

But I am sinking to a low level by writing this. To bring myself back up, I have to say that even during my worst times, and at the end, Sheriff Sniff, Lt. Pete Ortiz, Captain Hill, Chief Deputy Rick Hall and thousands, and I mean thousands, of others were there for me. The Riverside County Sheriff Department is an awesome family, with awesome people, doing a job day in and day out, that can bring the best of us to our knees. My honor and my oath is still with them, as is my prayers.

But here's the main point, before I lose your attention. For the State to issue me COBRA to continue medical coverage, I needed company authorization. Well, three months after leaving the depatrment I still had Riverside County saying it was the Law Enforcement Managment Unions responsibility, and I had the Law Enforcememnt Mamnagement Union saying it was the Riverside County Sheriff's Associations Responsibility, and so on the circle went. I never did receive the cobra coverage, and when someone with the county came to their senses in April or May, it would have cost me almost $10,000 to get back with Kaiser Permanente Medical Coverage. Now.........if this can happen to a married man with no criminal history, who worked non-stop for the last 29 years with medical coverage and has a family.............keep that in mind while you read this article from the Gaston Gazzette and yahoo! Yeah, I know the guy looks like a lunatic.....but try and ignore that too LOL

Man robs bank to get medical care in jail

Some people who need medical care but can't afford it go to the emergency room. Others just hope they'll get better. James Richard Verone robbed a bank.

Earlier this month, Verone (pictured), a 59-year-old convenience store clerk, walked into a Gaston, N.C., bank and handed the cashier a note demanding $1 and medical attention. Then he waited calmly for police to show up.

He's now in jail and has an appointment with a doctor this week.

Verone's problems started when he lost the job he'd held for 17 years as a Coca Cola deliveryman, amid the economic downturn. He found new work driving a truck, but it didn't last. Eventually, he took a part-time position at the convenience store.

But Verone's body wasn't up to it. The bending and lifting made his back ache. He had problems with his left foot, making him limp. He also suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis.

Then he noticed a protrusion on his chest. "The pain was beyond the tolerance that I could accept," Verone told the Gaston Gazette. "I kind of hit a brick wall with everything."

Verone knew he needed help--and he didn't want to be a burden on his sister and brothers. He applied for food stamps, but they weren't enough either.

So he hatched a plan. On June 9, he woke up, showered, ironed his shirt. He mailed a letter to the Gazette, listing the return address as the Gaston County Jail.

"When you receive this a bank robbery will have been committed by me," Verone wrote in the letter. "This robbery is being committed by me for one dollar. I am of sound mind but not so much sound body."

Then Verone hailed a cab to take him to the RBC Bank. Inside, he handed the teller his $1 robbery demand.

"I didn't have any fears," said Verone. "I told the teller that I would sit over here and wait for police."

The teller was so frightened that she had to be taken to the hospital to be checked out. Verone, meanwhile, was taken to jail, just as he'd planned it.

Because he only asked for $1, Verone was charged with larceny, not bank robbery. But he said that if his punishment isn't severe enough, he plans to tell the judge that he'll do it again. His $100,000 bond has been reduced to $2,000, but he says he doesn't plan to pay it.

In jail, Verone said he skips dinner to avoid too much contact with the other inmates. He's already seen some nurses and is scheduled to see a doctor on Friday. He said he's hoping to receive back and foot surgery, and get the protrusion on his chest treated. Then he plans to spend a few years in jail, before getting out in time to collect Social Security and move to the beach.

Verone also presented the view that if the United States had a health-care system which offered people more government support, he wouldn't have had to make the choice he did.

"If you don't have your health you don't have anything," Verone said.

The Affordable Care Act, President Obama's health-care overhaul passed by Congress last year, was designed to make it easier for Americans in situations like Verone's to get health insurance. But most of its provisions don't go into effect until 2014.

As it is, Verone said he thinks he chose the best of a bunch of bad options. "I picked jail."

Florida teen arrested for hacking father to death with axe

Authorities have arrested a 19-year-old Florida woman in connection with her father's gruesome murder, charging she and her mother plotted to kill the man with a pickaxe for his social security benefits.

Guenevere Lynn Hudnall and her mother, Stephanie Lynn Hudnall, 41, are accused of masterminding the gruesome murder of 51-year-old William Arnold Hudnall at his trailer home Thursday.

Investigators say Guenevere told her mother she would be willing to kill her estranged father if her mother drove her to his home.

Stephanie reportedly dropped her daughter off at her husband's house around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, and father and daughter proceeded to chat for several hours.

When her father finally nodded off to sleep, Guenevere reportedly drew a pickax from the back porch and stabbed him multiple times in the head and chest.

"The victim [Hudnall] continued to make noise so she [Guenevere] struck him with the axe until he was quiet to make sure he was dead," Sheriff's Detective Sandra Myers wrote in a report.

Before fleeing the scene, Guenevere tried to make the murder look like part of a break-in by strewing mail around the living room, investigators said.

She then hopped in her father's car, drove home to her mother, and destroyed all other evidence.

Myers said the two women drove back to the murdered man's trailer the next day and called authorities, claiming they found Hudnall dead in his bed.

Just days prior to the murder, Guenevere took to Twitter to express herself in an ominous post.

"Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire. ~St. Catherine of Siena," the troubled teen wrote.

Just a few weeks earlier, she tweeted about her job hunt as well.

"keep up the prayers...really need a job!!!" she wrote.

Both Guenevere and her mother were unemployed and their trailer park home was reportedly going to be foreclosed on around the time of the gruesome murder.

They are currently in separate holding cells and are being held on $1 million bail.

14-year-old crash victim suffers irreversible brain damage

A 14-year-old victim in a suspected drunk-driving accident early Sunday morning suffered irreversible brain damage and was being kept on life support so doctors could assess whether her organs could be donated, according to Irvine police.

Police identified the victim as Ashton Sweet, a student at Northwood High School.

She was one of four girls, all 14 or 15, riding in Mercedes-Benz driven by one of their fathers around 1:15 a.m. Sunday when it collided with a Toyota pickup near the intersection of Culver Drive and Irvine Boulevard, police said.

All suffered injuries of varying degree and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

By daybreak Monday, friends and strangers were posting condolences and anti-drunk-driving messages on a Facebook page set up in Sweet's honor.

The pickup driver, 26-year-old Austin Farley of Irvine, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. He and his passenger were unhurt, police said.

Police are still investigating the accident.

Farley has a long history of arrests, and in 2009 he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and battery on a police officer or emergency worker, according to the Orange County courts online database. In 2005, he pleaded guilty to driving with a suspended or revoked license and refusing to submit to a chemical test for driving under the influence.

IRVINE (CBS) — Irvine Police Detectives nabbed a 39-year-old woman Saturday morning for allegedly being a serial arsonist.
Officials say Jana Marie Spires, an Irvine resident for the past year, has started a string of fires on residential and school properties.
The fires reportedly began in July 2010 and were small and set weeks apart, according to authorities.
Fires were set in trash cans, dumpsters, vehicles and at least one garage. Damage, said officials, ranged from minor to the total loss of vehicles.
The investigation was led by Irvine Police detective Barry Miller.
Irvine CSI processed the crime scenes and were able to get DNA from at least three different incidents.
Police said Spires was arrested near Springbook Elementary School in Woodbridge where a stack of pizza boxes had been set on fire, inches from the admin building.
Detectives were able to extinguish the blaze before the building suffered any damage.

Irvine woman charged with five counts of arson

An Irvine woman accused of setting six fires in recent months was charged Tuesday with five felony counts of arson, Orange County prosecutors said.

Jana Marie Spires, 38, faces a maximum sentence of nine years in prison if convicted, according to a news release from the Orange County district attorney’s office. Spires, who is being held on $50,000 bail, is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing June 2.

Spires is accused of starting fires in several parked cars in January and April. She is also accused of lighting a flag hanging outside a home and setting a garage on fire on the same day in February.

On Saturday, authorities said, Spires set fire to a stack of pizza boxes at the playground of Springbrook Elementary School in Irvine. An Irvine police officer observed the incident, and an investigation linked Spires to the previous blazes, prosecutors said. She was arrested Monday.

A Milton-based state trooper charged with dancing naked before a webcam for what he thought was a 13-year-old girl has retired and will receive nearly $3,000 an month in pension benefits.

Douglas N. Sversko, 44, of Lewisburg, retired from his $81,620-a-year job shortly after he appeared in a Dauphin County district court to waive his right to a preliminary hearing on felony charges of unlawful contact with a child and criminal use of a communication facility for exposing himself online last spring.

He was suspended without pay the day of his arrest on Feb. 16, paid $100,000 bail for his release from jail and retired in early March after waiving the charges to Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas.

Employed by the state police for 18 years, Sversko has been approved to receive a $2,901 monthly pension.

The latest development in the case has outraged active and retired state troopers.

“Furious” is how one trooper described the response.

None would speak on the record, but one trooper said part of the anger is with the Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System, which allows employees facing certain criminal charges to collect benefits until there’s a conviction.

It’s not certain whether Sversko will be allowed to continue collecting a pension if he’s convicted.

A PSERS spokesman was not available Friday and state police spokesman Jack Lewis did not return calls.

Maria Shriver 'humbled by the love'....Divorce is an Evil Hamster

Maria Shriver has spoken out publicly on her own for the first time since her separation from Arnold Schwarzenegger went public earlier this week.
"Thank you for all the kindness, support and compassion," Shriver said Friday on Twitter. "I am humbled by the love. Thank you."

Since word of the couple's split after 25 years of marriage went public Monday, many supportive remarks have been posted to Shriver's YouTube channel, in light of a video she'd posted March 28 in which she discussed being "in transition."

"It is so stressful to not know what you're doing next," Shriver said in the video, above. "I'd like to hear from other people in transition.... How did you get through it? What were three things that enabled you to get through your transition?"

Her husband acknowledged the split publicly Tuesday at a Skirball Cultural Center event celebrating Israeli Independence Day.

"I just talked to Maria an hour ago before I came here," Schwarzenegger said Tuesday, "and we both were saying the same thing, we are amazed and extremely blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people. We both love each other very much. We are very fortunate that we have four extraordinary children and we're taking one day at a time."

He's been relatively quiet since Wednesday, when the San Diego County district attorney's office announced it had filed a civil suit against the former governor, seeking to overturn his last-minute reduction of the voluntary-manslaughter prison sentence of the son of former Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez.

What the future holds for the couple, who've made it clear this is a separation and not yet a divorce, is uncertain.

"Everyone who's shocked by this is reacting to the fairy-tale picture that was promoted," a friend who has been a frequent visitor to the couple's Brentwood mansion told Los Angeles Times reporters early this week.
"I would have had to have been deaf, blind and incredibly stupid not to see that he was more than a handful," Shriver wrote in the introduction to her 2000 book, "10 Things I Wish I'd Known Before I Went Out Into the Real World."

Hillary Clinton's expression, right hand clasped over her mouth in astonishment, is largely responsible for making the above photo iconic--and, to at least one newspaper, sexually suggestive.

In the photo, President Obama and his national security team are huddled around a conference table in the White House Situation Room, watching CIA director Leon Panetta narrate last Sunday's raid on Osama bin Laden's compound. The mood is clearly tense.

When Women's Wear Daily consulted a coterie of photo editors and designers about why the image is "destined to be one for the history books," Clinton was foremost in their responses.

"The Hillary Clinton expression is the one that holds the photograph fully," Time's photo director told the magazine. "You can see 10 years of tension and heartache and anger in Hillary's face," Conde Nast's Scott Dadich agreed.

Turns out she was probably just coughing during that crucial moment captured by White House photographer Pete Souza. But nevertheless, the image still proved a bit too racy for at least one of the many newspapers that printed it.

That would be the Ultra-Orthodox Hasidic broadsheet Der Tzitung. The paper photoshopped Clinton, as well at the only other woman who could be seen in the room, out of the frame.

"Apparently the presence of a woman, any woman, being all womanly and sexy all over the United States' counterterrorism efforts was too much for the editors of Der Tzitung to handle," noted the prominent women's blog Jezebel.

Indeed, "The Hasidic newspaper will not intentionally include any images of women in the paper because it could be considered sexually suggestive," Rabbi Jason Miller explains in The Jewish Week. Though he notes that the publication's "fauxtograpphing" may in fact be a graver act against their religious tenets: "To my mind, this act of censorship is actually a violation of the Jewish legal principle of g'neivat da'at (deceit)."

Beyond that, Der Tzitung's editors apparently missed or blatantly ignored the guidelines stipulated on the official White House Flickr page, where the photo was released for use by news organizations: "The photograph may not be manipulated in any way."

The White House has not issued a response on the altered image.
