Of Course: Taxpayers to Cover Obama Fundraiser Tour of Midwest Battleground States

It is illegal to use taxpayer dollars to run your campaign or for political purposes in general. Not to this regime though. Obama is getting around the law by scheduling official events around his fundraisers thereby forcing taxpayers to foot the bill for his re-election campaign. From CNS News via memeorandumTaxpayers Will Pay for Obama Bus Tour of Battleground States, Says White House
President Barack Obama’s upcoming bus tour through the Midwest states typically viewed as swing states during presidential election years will be paid for by the taxpayers, the White House says.

Obama will start the tour on Aug. 15 and will talk about strengthening jobs and the economy, the White House announced on Tuesday.

“He is very happily getting out into the country again after a very sustained period here in Washington and he looks forward to talking to folks about growing the economy, creating jobs," said White House Press Secretary Jay Carney. "We will have more details, as I said, about the specifics of the trip."

Carney indicated he did not know now precisely where the president would go or what he might be announcing.

CNSNews.com asked Carney, “Is that a campaign event or a presidential event?

Carney answered, “Negative. That is an official event.”
Of course it is, copied onto Obama's campaign route. Note how defensive Carney is in this video:
CNS also notes:
The generally accepted policies in place since the Reagan administration for incumbent presidents running for re-election are based on legal opinions from the Department of Justice and Federal Elections Commission (FEC), which say that taxpayers should cover the cost of official presidential travel while travel relating to the campaign will be reimbursed to the government through campaign funds.
Funny that his "official" travels are to battleground states where fundraisers spontaneously pop up, no? More from Weasel Zippers, Gateway Pundit and The Lonely Conservative

NRSC Ad: Welcome to the Recovery

Should be 'Welcome to the Wreckovery' but whatever:
Seems to me ads like this are cheap to produce with modern technology, and there's plenty of fodder to be had. Is it too much to ask for a lot more than this? Like an ad a day? Heck - have a competition like Powerline had recently. The ads would come flooding in.

Because a second term for Obama may indeed be the end of the US.

Video of Obama: 2012 Election Will Be A Referendum On My Record. DARNED RIGHT IT WILL BE!

Chalk this up to yet another gaffe since he was off teleprompter:
Don't think it's a gaffe? This is how the sentinels at the establishment MSM jumped into action: MSNBC's Chuck Todd: How Will Obama Team Spin Obama Referendum "Gaffe"?
Stewardship? He's doing about as well as Denethor Steward of Gondor and in the electoral sense will meet the same fate.

Good Riddance! Pro-life Traitor US Rep. Dale Kildee (D-Flint) Aborting his Job, will not seek 19th Term

Bart Stupak, Bob Casey, Dale Kildee. What do all of them have in common? I'll tell you - they all proclaimed to be pro-life Democrats and then sold out the unborn, essentially throwing them right in the wood chipper head first with the passage of Obamacare that taxpayers to fund elective abortions. In the summer of 2009 I predicted that purportedly pro-life MI Democrat Bart Stupak would fold like a cheap K-Mart picnic table and vote for ObamaCare even though it will throw taxpayer money at the abortion industry: There's no such thing as a moderate Democrat, only liberal Democrats in conservative districts. Example #2,927 - Bart Stupak. Indeed I have said it before (many times) and I will say it again (many times) - there is no such thing as a pro-life Democrat, only liberal Democrats serving in right-of-center districts. Oh they may claim to be pro-life, but the difference between them and true pro-lifers is that the issue is not just one of several competing against each other. No. For the true-pro-lifer, abortion holds absolute veto power. It's not the same as single-issue voting, mind you, as pro-lifers are just as concerned about other issues such as the economy, takes, healthcare, etc. It's just that no other issue would goad the pro-life politician, or voter for that matter, into casting a vote against the unborn no matter how benign it appears on its face. I have written about this issue extensively on this blog, with these few posts as mere examples:
You'll note Michigan Rep Dale Kildee was on that list of traitors. US Rep Dale Kildee (D-Flint) is another one of these fake pro-life Democrats that claimed one thing only to end up perhaps being the deciding vote on passing the pro-abortion healthcare bill in the House; thus he will Kildee babies. But it's for the greater good don't you know. Can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs, or in this case scrambling them as well. But his contortion in trying to explain why he is throwing unborn babiesw under the bus, a visual far more appealing than what Planned Parenthood will literally do to them, got getting pretty crazy. He claimed that his priest basically gave him a green light. Said priest vehemently denied it, and said that Kildee doesn't attend church much either. People like myself have been saying forever that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PRO-LIFE DEMOCRAT! So it's only fitting that Kildee is aborting his re-election to a 19th term in Congress: U.S. Rep. Dale Kildee, D-Flint, announces he will not seek 19th term
U.S. Rep. Dale Kildee, D-Flint, announced this evening he will not seek re-election to his 19th term in office.

Kildee, 81, has been a lawmaker at the state and federal levels for 47 years.
The kicker comes at the end:
Kildee has been known to say he would remain in office until "God or the voters" decide otherwise.
Like his fake pro-life stance, those words weren't worth paying any attention to either. MLive has a ton of links with liberals heaping adulation on part of the machine that has decimated the economy:
By the way, how's Flint doing after his 40 years in Congress (for that matter, how have Conyers and Dingell's districts fared after even longer tenures?)? Yeah - he was that bad. You'll note that Democrats are insisting in nepotism to solve their problem in the aborted re-election effort. Michigan Republican Party Chairman Bobby Schostak spoke the truth in that Kildee's political days were numbered thank to the community organizer-in-chief: Michigan Republican Party chairman blames Obama for Rep. Dale Kildee's retirement
"Michigan conservatives and tea party activists were eager for another shot in 2012," said Michigan Republican Party Chairman Bobby Schostak a news release. "Given that Democrats have to run on Obama's miserable record on jobs, national debt, and the economy, it's no wonder Kildee decided that a graceful exit was preferable to a certain defeat."

..."Barack Obama is going to have to explain his record to the taxpayers, families, and unemployed workers of Michigan at some point," Schostak said in the news release. "Voters won't be buying what he's selling, and representative Kildee didn't want to be his pitchman."
GOOD RIDDANCE!!!

Surprise! Congressional Candidate Janice Hahn (D-CA) Connected to LA Gang Criminals

Via BreitbartTV:
Janice Hahn, congressional candidate in the special election to replace Democrat Jane Harmon in California's 36th District, is under fire for new charges that she used her position as a city councilwoman to funnel money to gang members and criminals in an effort to "keep the peace" between warring gangs in her Los Angeles district.
Here's the report:
Oh, but there's even more. Hahn responded by sending a 'cease and desist' letter to the above local affiliate to try and kill the messenger. Bad move. Via Instapundit:
POLITICAL CENSORSHIP: “It’s one thing when someone decides that they are going to intimidate a blogger with a cease and desist order, it’s totally another for a congressional candidate in CA-36 to actually send such an order to a TV station over a story they did on her years ago.” Janice Hahn doesn’t seem to understand things very well.
 Plus this:
CA-36: Yes, Janice Hahn blew it. “When Janice Hahn’s lawyers sent a cease-and-desist letter to KTTV Fox 11 — trying to stop the Los Angeles station from following up on its 2008 investigation of Hahn’s controversial ‘gang intervention’ progam — they probably didn’t expect this. ‘Large mistake, madame,’ says the award-winning Ace of Spades. Because KTTV and Chris Blatchford not only stood by their original coverage, they followed up with an in-depth eight-minute report that devastates Hahn’s credibility.”
The only remaining question is if the voters of CA-36 are dumb enough to vote this political maniac into office. I mean, they did vote back Moonbeam to the governorship and Boxer into the Senate.

Heck yes: RNC launches ad campaign attacking Obama on economy

Obama made the recession worse. It's for sure and for certain. And in 2012 the RNC appears to be taking the gloves off, implicitly repudiating McCains non-effort in 2008 to show America who Barack Husein Obama really is:
Via memeorandum. LAughably, teh DNC is saying just the opposite from what they were saying when Bush was President and the economy was in a whole lot better shape than it has been under O:
Democratic National Committee communications director Brad Woodhouse shot back at the RNC spot, calling the new ad misleading. He said:
No one should be surprised that the Republican Party, much like its candidates for President, are trying to mislead voters about the state of the economy.  While the President continues to fight to clean up an economic mess that was years in the making, Republican's would rather run negative ads than offer positive ideas. Instead of joining in solutions that will strengthen the Middle Class and create jobs, Republicans are fighting to protect budget-busting tax loopholes for oil companies and Wall Street, tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires and to roll back laws that crack down on consumer ripoffs by lenders and insurance companies.  Instead of working to protect the privileged few while slashing support for seniors, students and the investments we need to get our economy moving again, Republicans should work with Democrats and President Obama to help Middle Class families get ahead — the very people who were hurt the most by a decade of failed economic policies.
In other words, as the country crumbles into economic hell... ALL IS WELL!
ALL IS WELL!!!
Good luck with that being Obama's campaign slogan...
