BET Awards 11---Destiny OVERLOAD!!! Kelly & Beyonce performing!!!

After much speculation and secrecy, it is confirmed that both Kelly Rowland & Beyonce will perform at next Sunday's  BET Awards.  Kelly is having a phenomenal summer thus far with the #1 chart topping single, 'Motivation', and Beyonce fresh off her big Billboard Millennium Award performance and numerous other big events; it would only be suited that the two would ROCK the BET AWARDS, right?  RIGHT!



This will mark Kelly's 1st televised live performance of her mega hit 'Motivation', while Beyonce will be 'phoning it in' via live satellite as she performs from Glastonbury in the UK.


So much STARPOWER in one night, this could be BET's biggest years to date.  We will see if they can pull it off!
 
Other acts include: Jill Scott, Chris Brown, Lil' Wayne, Drake, Mary J. Blige, and as always, you BET keeps at least one ace up their sleeve until the last minute.  No telling who they will bring out!  Stay tuned!

Kelly Rowland's 'Here I Am' disc gets OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE!

Kelly Rowland is 'smoking hot' these days!  With 'Motivation' still nestled comfortably at #1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Charts, her X-Factor judging gig and numerous other collabs, it seems the former Destiny's Child member is finally getting her just desserts!  Kelly is ready to drop the hotly-anticipated 'Here I Am' disc this summer.  The new disc will include production  from the likes of Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins, Tricky Stewart & The Dream,Jim Jonsin, Ester Dean, David Guetta, Rico Love, and more.  Sources are saying that Kelly has finally given us a release date for the project!  Are you ready?

'Here I Am' will hit stores July 26th!  Fans, the wait is finally over!  With good friend and contemporary, Beyonce dropping in June 24th, it most certainly will be a HOT summer for the ladies of DESTINY.

In the next few weeks, I am sure that we will be getting some artwork for the project and a follow-up single!

Kelly Rowland has been everywhere lately.  With the #1 'Motivation' track on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts, Kelly seems poised to make it really big this time around as a solo artist.  In case you did not also know, Kelly has been tapped to be one of the judges for Simon Cowell's 'X-Factor' UK!  That's a really good look for the young artist.  Speaking of a 'good look', just recently, Kelly gets uber-glam for a photoshoot for 'Wonderland Magazine'.    Check out a few shots:

The Battle of Destiny's Children :Revisited

The battle of the warriors once known as Destiny's Child is set to heat up again this summer?  Well again, another year and another 'battle'.  While everyone was clamoring to get their 1st listen of Beyonce's latest single, 'Run The World (Girls)', Kelly Rowland has also been raging a war of her own with the sexy and smoldering, 'Motivation'.  Both ladies cd's are set to drop this summer, but there is no definite release date on either nor do either have a definitive title to date.  Interesting, isn't it.  Kelly, who has been having moderate success with the music she has been dropping for this 4th studio album, finally has what could potentially be a huge urban hit for her on her hands, but once again seems to be getting eclipsed by the ever-present, uber-talented Beyonce.  The battle for female pop supremacy rages on between the ladies.  I am sure its purely coincidental that they always seem to drop new solo projects around the same time.

Even the Misfits could never catch a break in the biz because of Gem and her damn 'Holograms'.  Just when He-man had the who castle to himself, out the wood works the 'illegetimate' She-Ra has to swoop in and take a little of his 'shine'.  LOL.. My mind works in a crazy way.  What do these cartoons have to do with Kelly & Beyonce?  I knew you were asking yourself that question.  The analogy just came into my head so I decided to run with it!


I suppose all is fair in music and war, right?    The two are both talented in their own right.  And they are forever going to be linked due to their success as a trio with Destiny's Child.  The industry is always going to compare the two regardless if they like it or not. 

With Kelly's 'Here I Am' ready to drop this summer and Beyonce's '4' up to bat, its going to be a HOT SUMMER for BOTH POP STARS!!!

Kelly Rowland unveils ALBUM TITLE!!!!!

Finally, international superstar and 1/3 of the chart-topping, record-breaking super girl trio Destiny's Child, KELLY ROWLAND opens up about her upcoming album!
With her current single “Motivation” climbing the chart (this week it’s at #31 on the Hot 100, & #3 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Charts), Kelly Rowland decided the time was right to reveal that the title of her upcoming third solo album is Here I Am.
Here is how Kelly came up with the title:

“I was talking to my product manager. “I said I wanted people to know that this is the record, the sound I’ve been working toward… that here I am. And she said, that’s the title. It just connected with my heart and the music as well. It stands for everything I’ve gone through and thought about for this record as a woman. It’s very strong.”

On 106 & Park last month, Rowland mentioned that the album celebrates women. 

“It actually starts with ‘Motivation,’ which is of course letting in on that sensual side,” Kelly said. “But the album tells the story of everything else—strength and character…friendship. It’s fantastic.”

We can't wait to here it, Kelly.  I hope this LP elevates Kelly into the solo stratosphere that she so rightly deserves.  She is an amazing artist and beautiful person inside and out!

 Rico Love, Ester Dean, Stargate, Rodney Jerkins, David Guetta,   Dr. Dre, RedOne, and Tricky Stewart.
