Video: Bill O'Reilly Shreds Media for Calling Norway Terrorist ‘Christian’

And the same media the downplayed the Fort Hood shooter's Muslim roots deserve to get shredded for linking the Norway shooting with Christianity - a religion where "though shall not murder" is one of the 10 commandments. Just a quick recap, Nidal Hassan, who yelled Allah Akbar as he murdered 13 servicemen at Fort Hood - ironically in a no gun zone - was taped murdering 13 people, plus a 14th victim - an unborn child. Flashback Video: Obama Warns Against ‘Jumping to Conclusions’ One Day After Ft. Hood Shootings
Fast forward to just a few days ago and the media has "Christian" and "conservative" all over the place in any story regarding the Norway shooter. Via memeorandumO'Reilly Shreds Media for Calling Norway Terrorist ‘Christian’
Transcript:
"Impact" segment tonight: mass murder in Norway. A vicious killer, Anders Breivik, has murdered at least 76 people in the Scandinavian nation of Norway. Breivik is a brutal fanatic who apparently objects to the presence of Muslims in Europe.

Last Friday he bombed buildings in Oslo and then took an automatic weapon to an island a few miles away gunning down 68 people. Norwegian authorities couldn't get to the island because they didn't have a helicopter, if you can believe it.

Now, on Sunday, the "New York Times" headlined "As Horrors Emerged, Norway Charges Christian extremist". A number of other news organizations like the "LA Times" and Reuters also played up the Christian angle. But Breivik is not a Christian. That's impossible. No one believing in Jesus commits mass murder. The man might have called himself a Christian on the net, but he is certainly not of that faith.

Also Breivik is not attached to any church, and in fact has criticized the Protestant belief system in general. The Christian angle came from a Norwegian policeman not from any fact finding. Once again, we can find no evidence, none, that this killer practiced Christianity in any way.

So why is the angle being played up? Two reasons: First, the liberal media wants to make an equivalency between the actions of Breivik and the Oklahoma City bomber Tim McVeigh and al Qaeda. The left wants you to believe that fundamentalists Christians are a threat just like crazy jihadists are.

In fact, in the "New York Times" today an analysis piece says that some believe we have overreacted to the Muslim threat in the world. Of course, that's absurd. Jihadists have killed tens of thousands of people all over the world. The Taliban, Iran and elements in Pakistan use governmental power to support terrorism by Muslims. But the left-wing press wants to compare nuts like Breivik and McVeigh to state-sponsored terrorism and worldwide jihad.

Again, dishonest and insane.

The second reason the liberal media is pushing the Christian angle is they don't like Christians very much because we are too judgmental. Many Christians oppose abortion. Gay marriage and legalized narcotics, secular left causes. The media understands the opposition is often based on religion. So they want to diminish Christianity and highlighting so-called Christian-based terror is a way to do that.
Darned right! And well said. I don't agree with O'Reilly on most topics, but he's spot on on this one.

The Obama Wreckovery Continues: After Shuttle, NASA Lays Off Thousands

"One day after the Space Shuttle Atlantis landed safely and closed NASA's chapter on the shuttle program, the space agency began laying off thousands of workers."
Perhaps now, NASA can focus on its primary mission - exploration of the "Muslim World." as I wrote about back in February: Mission creep: NASA, by order of Obama, plans more outreach to Muslim countries. And guess what? The same NASA administrator Charlie Bolden at the center of the current controversy basically said the same thing 6 months ago with far less media attention:

NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden said Tuesday that President Barack Obama has asked him to “find ways to reach out to dominantly Muslim countries” as the White House pushes the space agency to become a tool of international diplomacy.
“In addition to the nations that most of you usually hear about when you think about the International Space Station, we now have expanded our efforts to reach out to non-traditional partners,” said Bolden, speaking to a lecture hall of young engineering students.

Specifically, he talked about connecting with countries that do not have an established space program and helping them conduct science missions. He mentioned new opportunities with Indonesia, including an educational program that examines global climate change.
Ah, Indonesia - Barry's old stomping grounds where he was raised in a madrassa.  Well isn't that special?
“We really like Indonesia because the State Department, the Department of Education [and] other agencies in the U.S. are reaching out to Indonesia as the largest Muslim nation in the world. We would love to establish partners there,” Bolden said.
Fact is, as I opined recently, Obama formulated his NASA mission back in June 2009 when he went to Cairo to, among other things, make Muslims feel better about their scientific accomplishments. It was an epic fail. Every advancement Obama attributed to the Muslim world was actually invented by someone else. From a prior post of mine last year: Obama In Cairo: Barack The "Student Of History" Flunks Remedial Basic Islam. Here is part of Obama's speech with the technical claims made about 2 1/2 minutes in:
It's all consistent, from Obama's failure in Cairo to Bolden's statement earlier this year to his most recent statement. Obama truly is flying NASA backwards in time to reach out to the planet known as the 'Muslim World.'

Change! US more UNpopular in the Arab world than under Bush

Appeasing terrorists and those that abet them is showing weakness, and showing weakness makes things worse, not better in the Middle Eastern culture even for common people with no bad ties to anything: US more unpopular in the Arab world than under Bush
I've written numerous times over the last year about rapidly worsening perceptions of the U.S. in the Muslim world, including a Pew poll from April finding that Egyptians view the U.S. more unfavorably now than they did during the Bush presidency.  A new poll released today of six Arab nations -- Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco -- contains even worse news on this front:
The hope that the Arab world had not long ago put in the United States and President Obama has all but evaporated.

Two and a half years after Obama came to office, raising expectations for change among many in the Arab world, favorable ratings of the United States have plummeted in the Middle East, according to a new poll conducted by Zogby International for the Arab American Institute Foundation.

In most countries surveyed, favorable attitudes toward the United States dropped to levels lower than they were during the last year of the Bush administration . . . Pollsters began their work shortly after a major speech Obama gave on the Middle East . . . Fewer than 10 percent of respondents described themselves as having a favorable view of Obama.
What's striking is that none of these is among the growing list of countries we're occupying and bombing.  Indeed, several are considered among the more moderate and U.S.-friendly nations in that region, at least relatively speaking.  Yet even in this group of nations, anti-U.S. sentiment is at dangerously (even unprecedentedly) high levels.
There's that word again that sycophants want to tierod to Obama - unprecedented, but in this case the fist time I've seen it used in a negative connotation. Salon is beside itself in explaining this but it's quite easy - Middle East culture abhors a big weenie in charge of anything. HT: memeorandum. More from Say Anything and The Astute Bloggers. And from the WaPo: Arab world's views of U.S., President Obama increasingly negative, new poll finds

Video: Christian Preacher Harassed and Bullied at 2011 Dearborn Arab Festival

Via Answering Muslims:
Dearborn is caught in a spiral. A few years ago, peaceful Christian missionaries would quietly come to Dearborn to preach the Gospel. Then security started slapping Christians around, and police began throwing Christians in jail and trampling on the Constitution. This drew some of the more vocal, confrontational, anti-Sharia Christian groups to the city (e.g. Terry Jones, Ruben Israel, etc.). But instead of showing the world how peaceful and loving Muslims are, Dearborn reacted with further hostility, even towards peaceful Christian preachers.
The video:
this is Dearborn that we're talking about where apparently Sharia Law has overtaken said US Constitution. Dearborn is the same one where they arrest Christians on public streets for being Christians:
In Sharia Law, you can't profess your Christian faith to Muslims. So perhaps the news of a pastor arrested for attempting to protest on public property near a mosque should surprise no one (Idiocracy: Dearbornistan jails FL pastor for ATTEMPTING to protest in public area near mosque, but outside "free speech zone"). In 2009 Christians were attacked at the same Muslim festival:
No wonder it is known as Dearbornistan!
