Amy Winehouse, the beehived soul-jazz diva whose self-destructive habits overshadowed a distinctive musical talent, was found dead today in her London home, police said. She was 27.

Winehouse shot to fame with the album "Back to Black," whose blend of jazz, soul, rock and classic pop was a global hit. It won five Grammys and made Winehouse — with her black beehive hairdo and old-fashioned sailor tattoos — one of music's most recognizable stars.

Police confirmed that a 27-year-old female was pronounced dead at the home in Camden Square northern London; the cause of death was not immediately known. London Ambulance Services said Winehouse had died before the two ambulance crews it sent arrived at the scene.

During a 1972 trip to North Vietnam, Jane Fonda propagandized on behalf of the North Vietnamese government, declared that American POWs were being treated humanely and condemned U.S. soldiers as "war criminals" and later denounced them as liars for claiming they had been tortured: True.

This liberal revision of history won't be believed by even the most gullible:

Actress Jane Fonda said in a statement posted on her website today that the QVC television channel cancelled an appearance they had scheduled with her today to promote her new book "Prime Time," blaming the cancellation on what she called "well funded and organized political extremist groups."

In the same statement Fonda said, "I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us."

Uh um. CNS also reports this: "A New York Times review of Fonda's 2005 memoir reported that Fonda apologized in the book for being photographed on the North Vietnamese antiaircraft gun." If indeed she had "never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought", what exactly was she apologizing for?

UPDATE: Her full statement:

"Bottom line, this has gone on far too long, this spreading of lies about me! None of it is true. NONE OF IT!" said Fonda. "I love my country. I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us. I do not understand what the far right stands to gain by continuing with these myths. In this case, they denied a lot of people the chance to hear about a book that can help make life better, easier and more fulfilling. I am deeply grateful for all of the support I have been getting since this happened, including from my Vietnam Veterans friends."

None of it. Um - yeah. Don't believe your lying eyes!

Hard to imagine that there would ever be a President worse than Carter, but Obama's up for the task. Unfortunately for us. Mason is one of the few Jews that is aware that Obama is anti-Israel. If other Jews would stand up for thir promised land, Obama wouldn't have a chance at all in 2012.

Irony: To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen who traps sex perverts in TV stings ‘caught cheating on his wife’... by hidden camera!

I can't think of any irony in the years that I have been blogging that would surpasse this one. Chris Hansen is famous for confronting pedophiles on his show getting them on hidden camera. He's become quite famous and has been spoofed on South Park:

He's made his name with a controversial show that catches would-be internet sex perverts in televised stings.

But now Chris Hansen has found himself on the receiving end of his own hidden camera tactics, after the married NBC anchor was secretly filmed on an illicit date with a blonde television reporter 20 years his junior.

Hansen, 51, has allegedly been having an affair with Kristyn Caddell, a 30-year-old Florida journalist, for the last four months.

Hansen was caught in an undercover sting by... the National Enquirer. Years ago that would have sounded too weird to be believed. However, they did catch John Edwards in his affair during the 2008 Primaries - a full 6 months before the establishment MSM would publish anything on the story. So there's that.
