'Braxton Family Values' set to return EARLY! But will Toni return?
WE tv's hit show, "Braxton Family Values" was such a huge ratings success that the network has moved the 2nd season premiere from late Fall to November 8th! Also, the network has ordered for 6 additional episodes. This time around, we get more Tamar, more Trina, more drama. The show will now have 19 episodes instead of 13. But let's not get to amped. Some sources say that one of the stars of the show may not be featured as heavily as she once was. Don't pass out just yet, Tamar is still on board, but sources are saying that Toni's presence on the break-out show will be "minimal". Again, this is rumored to be true. Hopefully all the ladies will be back in full effect and they finally get the 'Braxton Family' album on shelves by the holidays. Let's cross our fingers.

Hit songs that were never OFFICIAL singles!
Sometimes it amazes me how some artists miss out on their HIT single. The radio may love it, the artist may even love it, but the RECORD LABEL may not be behind the song, so when that happens, the artist is stuck with a song that the fans LOVE, but they can't release as an official single because there is no budget behind it.

Case in point. Mary J. Blige's 'My Life' album which is often hailed as Mary's best cohesive project spawned numerous hits. The title track however, was not released as an official single, but it is a true stand-out cut from the disc and still get radio play today. Note there was never a video made of the song because it wasn't a 'single' per se, but still a hug radio hit.
'My Life'-Mary J Blige
The 'Libra' album was a great album for Toni, and even debuted at #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop charts. 'Trippin' however was supposed to be a single, but the LABEL didn't push the song nor did they really promote "Libra" like they should have.
'Trippin;-Toni Braxton
Brandy had so many hits from "Never say Never', that some may have thought this track was a single. However it was not, therefore no video was ever made. It still proves to be one of the best tracks on that disc.
'Angel in Disguise'-Brandy feat Joe
Destiny's Child has so many unreleased songs that they could come out with at least two full projects and not have to step back into the studio. This single was slated to be on the 'Destiny Fulfilled' disc, but didn't make the cut because at the time another R&B diva was '2-stepping' up the charts. Ciara had the popular -Missy-assisted song '2step' out at the time, so he ladies of Destiny shied away from that single.
'2-Step'-Destiny's Child
One of the all time CLASSIC MJ songs that was never an OFFICIAL single! Surprise surprise. the song was so huge, it took on a life of it's own anyway and still went on to be a HUGE success.
'Wanna be startin' something'-Michael Jackson
Kelly Rowland's "Ms. Kelly" disc had a whole lot of promise. But bad single choices made some of the stand-out cuts on the album fall by the wayside. 'Flashback' was slated to be the 1st single, but the LABEL felt she should come with some more upbeat for her 1st single, so they went with the Sean Garrett-produced, Eve-assisted cut, 'Like this'.
'Flashback'-Kelly Rowland
This is VINTAGE Janet! 'Luv' was from Janet's 1st & Only album on Def Jam, "Discipline". Slated to be a 3rd single for Janet, this song was promoted and even went to radio, but the sour relationship with Janet's camp and the label soon proved too much. The single was never made into a video and Janet soon parted ways with Def Jam. But you have to admit, this would have been huge hit from that disc. This is what Janet's core fans had been waiting to hear from her.

'Makin me High'--Toni Braxton hits up 'Lopez Tonight'!
Toni Braxton and her sisters have taken the reality tv genre and turned it on its ear! You must be living under a rock if you haven't heard about and been swept away by 'Braxton Family Values', the reality show that follows Toni Braxton and her family as they navigate love, life and music. There is ONE Spotlight, and at times it seems they ALL want it shone on them, exclusively-- even Momma Braxton! This is one show that once you watch it once--you're hooked! Toni recently stopped by 'Lopez Tonight' to talk about the success of the show, her reservations about the cameras following her daily life and even her 'bedroom buddies'. Wow, yes, 'bedroom buddies'. Take a look!

As usual, Tamar. com swoops in to steal the show. George Lopez even had to call her onstage to be apart of the interview!
One thing that is purely evident is that as much as the sisters and the family fight, they are a family that loves just as hard. It's good to see a positive portrayal of family life of reality television. 'Braxton Family Values' airs Tuesday nights on WeTV.

Let's take a look back at some CLASSIC Toni:

Braxton Breakdown!? 'Braxton Family Values' Recap and Sneak Peek
Wow.
The Braxton Sisters are having drama for your MOMMA!
Towanda and family got evicted from their rented home and Towanda's 'no-count' husband is no support at all. Trina wants to try to make a go of it with 2-time cheater husband, Traci still looking in the window from outside trying to get a way back in the group and Tamar---well she is just Tamar. See what you missed!
Toni KNOWS she needs to be on the family album! That's like doing a Jackson 5 album with no Michael. It's not going to work otherwise. No Toni, No Tamar? What do you have? A 702 album! LOL-- Just kidding 702 was the bomb for a hot MINUTE.COM But really, it'd help the sales if Toni was on the disc. If Toni was on Tamar's last album it would've helped because it was a decent cd. I still listen to it from time to time. Tamar CAN BLOW too!!! But anyways.... Traci is going to have to make some sacrifices if she wants back in. Towanda needs to get rid of her 'husband'. Trina needs to get rid of hers and be single. Momma Evelyn need to beat all they asses for showing out. And Tamar needs to LISTEN for a change and work on a HIT SONG, sign her contract before she thinks about her new solo IMAGE. That's my round-up for the day. And Toni needs to CALL ME so I can direct her next video. I got some storyboards for ya!
CALL ME --678-458- You know the number..... LOL
"CONGRATULATIONS.COM"-'Tamar & Company' gets another SEASON!!
You know you have a certified hit on your hands when 5 episodes in you get renewed for another season! 'Braxton Family Values' on We tV gets picked up for another season. We tv made the announcement today:
The 2011/2012 slate includes a second season renewal of the network’s popular original series, Braxton Family Values, starring singer/songwriter Toni Braxton and her four sisters – Tamar, Trina, Towanda and Traci – as they navigate the drama created by the relationships among them. Recently called “… guilty-pleasure gold” by Entertainment Weekly, the series is produced for WE tv by Magical Elves and will return with 13 all-new, one-hour episodes in 2012.
I know the lovely ladies are past excited about the news. This comes as no surprise, because the show is very entertaining and well produced to boot!
I can already see a spin-off with
Tamar and her husband and how she navigates getting back into the music game. Tamar is definitely the scene-stealer on this show!
“Braxton Family Values has struck a chord with our audiences – it’s one of our most popular shows ever,” said Kim Martin, President & General Manager, WE tv. “The series embodies the essence of WE tv’s brand – Life As WE Know It – as a women’s destination providing relatable, unfiltered stories about the real and dramatic moments that define modern family life."

Guilty Pleasure of the Week: 'Braxton Family Values' Episode 4
Tamar Braxton! Drama.com is all I can say. If you missed last night's episode of 'Braxton Family Values', check WeTV listings for the encore viewing. It was hilarious. First out the gate, the family headed to L.A. because Toni was receiving an award from a Lupus foundation. And of course the family finds themselves staying with Tamar & Vince. Tamar, who is the youngest, gives her 'houseguests' a set of rules to abide by while in her house. LOL Who does that? 'Tamar's Rules' were just outrageous--no eating or drinking in the rooms, that's understandable, but everybody going to bed when she goes to bed? That's ridiculous. They also addressed the pink elephant in the room--PLASTIC SURGERY. Tamar says she's ALL FOR IT! Can you tell? The ladies dished on procedures, and Tamar even managed to get Toni in to a spa to get a 'TAN' and she got Momma Braxton, Evelyn in to a dermatologist to get some Botox shots. Rewind, who runs the family? Apparently Tamar does. Or she thinks she does. Tamar even surprised the family by flying in their only brother for the visit as well. I am not quite sure how he could've survived in that house with all of that ESTROGEN! Bless that man for making it through what must have been some very hard years growing up with all those girls! I applaud you brother Braxton! I could go on about Toni's breakdown about money issues and Tamar's meltdown about health issues, but that would ruin it for the people that haven't seen it yet.. right? Right. So check it out and every Tuesday @ 9pm on WeTV. The Braxton Family is an enterprising and amazingly relatable family. You will fall in love with them after one show!

NEW GROUP ALERT? The Braxton 3????
Is there a new group alert on the horizon? The Braxton 3? Well no, maybe not, but you can't count that out just yet. Tamar & Traci Braxton DO sing backgorund for Toni. SO why not make a group out of it? Of course Tamar would want to be the lead singer-- so they'd only break up after an album anyways. LOL.

Riding high off of the break-out success of their reality show, Tamar, Trina and Toni Braxton sat down with BLACKVOICES to discuss what keeps them close, and some of their fond memories.
You can catch Tamar, Toni, Trina, Traci and Momma Braxton Tuesday nights on We.
