'Trippin' with TMZ': Nicki Minaj Punched in the face by BF? Rodney King vs Cali Cops-AGAIN!!?

It's always fun to see what TMZ has going on.  TMZ always seems to be on the pulse of what's going on in HOLLYWOOD, and worldwide.  So, let's dig in...



TMZ reports that rapper Nicki Minaj was relaxing poolside at the Palomar Hotel in Dallas when she then got into a HEATED verbal altercation with an unidentified male companion.  Minaj was then reported to have the hotel call the authorities.
Allegedly, when the paramedics and police arrived, Minaj told them that the unidentified male had hit her in her face causing a laceration of her lower lip!  The 'man' had already left the scene when the authorities arrived and Minaj insisted that NO CHARGES BE FILED!

It is unsure as to who the male companion was.  Some seem to think the unidentified 'companion' was Safaree Samuel, Nicki's longtime boyfriend and hypeman, but there is no confirmation on that.  Let's just hope we don't have a new era Ike & Tina thing developing here!  We will keep an eye on this developing story.





In related lunacy, it seems that Rodney King had got himself entangled with California police YET AGAIN!

King was pulled over in Moreno, CA yesterday after police observed him committing "multiple infractions" in his 1993 Mitsubishi.
First of all, why does he still have a 1993 anything?  It's 2011!  I KNOW he has enough cash to get an up to date car.  That's already a violation in my book, but back to the story at hand.


Cops transported him to a nearby Riverside Sheriff's station soon after  where King was eventually booked and arrested on suspicion of DUI.  There is no concrete detail on what 'substance' Rodney King  was on at the time of his arrest.

At 1st glance, I thought it was O.J. LOL!  How many mugshots does Rodney King have now?  Whoever emails me with the correct answer gets two coupons to Carl's Jr or Hardees! LOL

Talent or Tacky? "Man in heels 'COMMANDS' Stripper Pole!

This was amazing to see!  On NBC's 'America's Got Talent', a male performer shows his command of the stripper pole!  Take a look for yourself!

Well, don't set your DVR just yet.  This is a skit that ran during Sunday night's BET Award's 11, and I thought it was hilarious.  The writers of this segment are to be complimented for the comedic genius that was touched on in these sketches.  BET might want to look into this concept.  Hmmm, something to think about.

RED HOT & Ready! BET Awards 11 FASHION!-Update w/ commentary

The big show is over, but the people are still talking about who wore what or why who wore what, and all the stops in between. The BET Awards 11 was all about the LOOK last night. Even the styling of the show was taken up a notch, so let's take a look at what the stars were wearing last night!

Kelly Rowland-Just stunning!

Kevin Hart- The host with the most! Pants a bit tight in the thigh area for my liking, but he swagged it up well during the show.

Nick Cannon- Nice, crisp look.  I could rock this---MINUS the white band shoes.

Nelly- Pretty Dope. I think Nelly stole my vest!

Game-Simple-crisp.  Good look with the LV belt.  I'd rock this look!

Nicki Minaj-  Nice-simple look for her.  Goes well with the BET theme.

Eve- Wow! Looks like she would karate kick you and still be fierce while doing so.  This is working for her.  Shout out to my cousin Kimberly, cause Eve is trying to look like you! *inside joke*

Estelle- Love the new single, but you BROKE my heart with this get-up.  I can't rock with you on this one.  Still will iTune your song though.

Drake-  Nice swag with this look. I was rocking with it...until the shoes.  Change them, and you are still in the game Drizzy!

Diddy-Dirty Money- Hmm?  *Turning page sideways, then upside down. Then putting silly putty on it, then looking at it again.  Umm, white is nice in the summer.  And that's all I am going to say about that.

Diddy is looking at her like he thinking "I wish you would say something crazy?"

Keri Hilson- Beautiful girl, but I have seen her look 100x better.  She looks like she dressed to go get her nails done, get some Ajax, slim jims, and a plunger from The Dollar Tree, then put some gas in the jeep, then go back to the house and REALLY get GLAMMED.  A bit of a downer for me.  Face still on point.

Traci-Ellis Ross-Wow, there are some good genes flowing in the Ross family.  Traci looks really good.  Nice shoe game-can't go wrong with red.  The body is bananas.  Who knew 'Joan' was holding like this?

Tami Roman- Nice Fresh look.  She can look a little busted at times on that show, but she looks good here!  I can dig it!  Evelyn probably hatin' on her as we speak. LOL

Tika Sumpter- Wow, her black is beautiful.  That's what the BET slogan says.-LOL- Legs, body, face on deck! A+

Rick Ross- BOSS!  That's all needs to be said!

Willow & Jaden Smith- Great to see kids doing positive things in life. Yes I get it.  But I am tired of these two. LOL. I am Glad your parents let you express yourselves and wear whatever the HELL you want to. WE GET IT! Now go sit down.  You two look like you represent the lollipop guild.  Yeah I said it.  But keep doing your thing! You got more money than me...for now... *Sinister GRIN*

Chris Brown- The man of the hour, sweeping the BET Awards last night.  The thing around the neck--I don't get it- but hey do you.  Congrats on all your trophies.  Now just be good for the next 90 days.

Patti Labelle- Timeless beauty. Enough said.

New Video: Nick Cannon is 'Famous'!

Nick Cannon, proud new father, comedian, rapper, dj, Nickelodeon exec is back with new music!  This video features Akon on the hook; now that I am thinking Akon can pretty much make any hook sound interesting!  This time around, Nick is having fun.  This video reminds us that Cannon has a comedic background.

Cannon gives spot on impressions of Antoine Dodson, Hammer, Gene Simmons from KISS, & Michael Jackson.  This video is funny and the song is not bad either.  This is a PARODY.  At this stage in the game, Cannon can afford to do what he wants.  He is sitting on top of the world right now, so he has liberties to do different things.  Nick is spot on in his impressions and I think he is really having a lot of fun here.  Some people may balk at this song, but again its parody.  It's the same type music Eminem does from time to time and critics laud him when he does.  I think the new Cannon song is a very interesting addition to the music world.  Keep doing big things Cannon!

Mariah & Nick reveal baby names for THE TWINS

The TWINS HAVE BEEN NAMED!!! Not those 'TWINS', the newborns! LOL.....


Mariah and Nick have announced the names of their newborns!!! Carey and proud Papa Nick Cannon's son is named Moroccan Scott Cannon and their daughter is named Monroe Cannon, the couple announced on her official Web site.

What do you think of the names?


'Scott' is Nick's middle name as well as his grandmother's maiden name. The couple chose not to give their daughter  a middle name because the singer herself doesn't have one. (Now wasn't that thoughtful--LOL).

So there you have it!  Now who's going to get the 1st exclusive pics of the newborns?  My guess is People, but she may go all out and appear on one of Oprah's last shows.

It appears Nick has already given his kids nicknames as he tweeted, "Roc and Roe! Let's go!"
Clever, and corny at the same time, but that's Nick for ya!  Congrats to the new parents!

Happy Anniversary to Nick & Mariah And Happy Birthday to the TWINS!!

And you guys had that office pool going that it would last.  Happy Anniversary to Mariah Carey and Nick (The Luckiest N*gga on The Planet) Cannon.  And what a great Anniversary gift but the arrival of your first born? 

The singer, 42, and her husband Nick Cannon welcomed their twin son and daughter today (Saturday); on  their fourth wedding anniversary! -- at an L.A. hospital at 12:07 p.m., her rep Cindi Berger confirms to THE GAMUTT.

According to Berger, the baby girl was born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, measuring 8 inches long; her brother followed, weighing 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches. Congratulations to the proud new parents.  Berger told the Associated Press, that first-time Dad was so nervous that he went to the wrong unit in the hospital, and had to be guided to the maternity ward by a nurse.



"It was right out of an I Love Lucy skit," Berger said. The couple had musical accompaniment as Carey delivered their kids to "We Belong Together," her smash #1 single from 2006.

Awww, how syrupy sweet, I need to see a dentist, I just got a cavity.  LOL.  But really, congrats to the new parents.  I for one am glad that they babies are here and healthy.  Now I don;t have to see anymore magazines covers with those two on the front posing almost nude.



Now comes the bid for the 1st baby pics!? Who do you think will get the exclusive??? 'People', 'Us Magazine'?  If they come out looking weird, maybe 'The Globe', or 'National Inquirer'?  At any rate, look to see even more mags with 'Carey & Cannon Plus 2' on the cover!

Is Nick Cannon the 'black' Ryan Seacrest now?

Nick Cannon, is 'the man' right now!  This guy is definitely 'winning'.  Married to one of the most successful solo female artists of all time, Mariah Carey, he is expecting two bundles of joy really soon and is the host of NBC's 'America's Got Talent.  The former Nickelodeon star, rapper, actor, deejay, video director and MTV Networks personality is now the Chairman of TeenNick and the development and creative consultant of the network.  All of this under his belt and Cannon is only 30 years old!

This is quite an amazing feat for an artist so young in the came.  Some people may say that Cannon is 'corny', or a 'sell-out, but you have to respect his business savvy.  He has amassed quite an impressive resume and he only 30 years old!  It seems things are only looking up for the young mogul.  Is Nick Cannon the black 'Ryan Seacrest'.  This guy is everywhere and he's about to get even BIGGER.  Nick already hosts the morning show (6-10AM) with co-hosts Nikki and Southern Sarah Lee at 92.3 NOW FM (WXRK-FM) in New York, and starting April 23, Cannon will launch his own weekly chart program "Cannon's Countdown" syndicated by CBS Radio .  So you will be hearing even more from Cannon.  He will have an R&B/Hip Hop format of the countdown as well as a Pop Top 40 countdown. 
If you don't respect anything else, you must respect that HUSTLE!  I wish i was Nick right about now....
