In year’s past, I’ve followed every twist and turn involving gay characters on As the World Turns and One Life to Live. But as we all know, Luke, Noah and Reid and the rest of the gang at ATWT are long gone and OTLT, which will end its run in January, got rid of Oliver, Kyle and Nick last year.
I knew that Days of Our Lives, which I’ve never really watched, was cooking up a gay storyline involving the new character of Sonny played byFreddie Smith who most recently played Teddy’s boyfriend on90210. It looks like he will become involved somehow with Will Horton played by Emmy nomineeChandler Massey who I interviewed last month.
In these scenes, we see Sonny coming out to his great uncle Vic by saying: “You’re never going to have to worry about me bringing home the wrong girl – ever.”
Smith shows that he is a very good actor, very natural, and fits right on on the show. I’ll start following the story and keep you posted constantly.
