And there are many who knows and realizes the worth of social networking, yet they seldom use it for their personal favor.Internet DatingThe very first profit of social networking is its efficiency to provide a visual manner for seeking friendship and love. Let's Pray the find Faith Ward

This is so sad to watch as a parent. This case is still open and the details are unknown. If she was kidnapped, you really don't know what has happened. People and groups who steal children are one of the worst forms of Evil Hamsters.

Concern Grows Over Missing Arizona Model Kristian Faith Ward

Little headway has been made in the search for Kristian Faith Ward, an 18-year-old model and mother from Phoenix, Ariz., who has been missing since late last month.

Ward, also known as Kristian Faith Stout, was last seen at the Paradise Valley Mall in Phoenix at about 1 p.m. on May 27. What happened to her after she left the mall remains a mystery, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

"She went to pick up her check from work and has not been seen or heard from since," Sgt. Trent Crump told The Huffington Post.

Ward, who lives at home with her parents and her 2-year-old son, does not have a vehicle and was alone at the time of her disappearance. She had a cellphone with her, but attempts to reach her via the phone have been unsuccessful. Additional attempts to "ping" the phone -- that is, to use satellites to trace her route and or current location -- have also failed, according to police.

"We were unable to locate it," Crump said.

Ward's Facebook wall is set to private, so non-friends cannot view it. Some personal information, however, such as her schooling, Santa Fe College, and current job -- as a model at Hollister Company -- are visible.

Her Facebook profile's "about Kristian" section reads in part: "I have a son ... he's everything to me! I don't have many friends because I trust very few. I like to get out and do things. Just enjoy life!"

Police said Ward's son is currently staying with his grandparents.

Asked if investigators suspect foul play in Ward’s disappearance, Crump said, "There are things that you look at -- she walked away from a 2-year-old and has never done that before and [she] did not take any belongings with her. So, there is great concern, but obviously we don't have any ... [proof of] an abduction or kidnapping."

Crump added: "We have no crime scene [but] the parents do feel something has gone wrong here."

Ward is described as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. She has pierced ears, with an extra piercing in the top of her left ear. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the Phoenix Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at (602) 534-2121 or (602) 262-6141.

Rejected by Brevity, accepted by Thought Catalog, and yes, I'm a fucking snob: "What is Kale?"

So I was doing this thing that I thought was semi-productive by blogging my rejections from journal-I-really-really-wanted-to-prove-something-to-myself-by-being-published-in Brevity, "Wannabe Housewife" and "Pill Popper." Then I realized even more productive would be to...send them somewhere else. Somewhere that doesn't even charge a fee! That even has cache. Of course I still want to be published in Brevity but I also have come to accept that that's highly unlikely and I am okay with that. I embrace my lack of whatever it is and I am now coming out as a snob in "What is Kale?" It was a snobby reject kind of day and yet I feel happy. Imagine that. Thanks, Thought Catalog! You rock.

Naked cop to collect $3G a month = Evil Hamster of the Day

Naked cop to collect $3G a month

A Milton-based state trooper charged with dancing naked before a webcam for what he thought was a 13-year-old girl has retired and will receive nearly $3,000 an month in pension benefits.

Douglas N. Sversko, 44, of Lewisburg, retired from his $81,620-a-year job shortly after he appeared in a Dauphin County district court to waive his right to a preliminary hearing on felony charges of unlawful contact with a child and criminal use of a communication facility for exposing himself online last spring.

He was suspended without pay the day of his arrest on Feb. 16, paid $100,000 bail for his release from jail and retired in early March after waiving the charges to Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas.

Employed by the state police for 18 years, Sversko has been approved to receive a $2,901 monthly pension.

The latest development in the case has outraged active and retired state troopers.

“Furious” is how one trooper described the response.

None would speak on the record, but one trooper said part of the anger is with the Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System, which allows employees facing certain criminal charges to collect benefits until there’s a conviction.

It’s not certain whether Sversko will be allowed to continue collecting a pension if he’s convicted.

A PSERS spokesman was not available Friday and state police spokesman Jack Lewis did not return calls.

Teen Girl Who Posted About Stalker On Facebook Found Dead

This is from last week on Scribbal.com
My only comment on this is that Parents and Teens need to be REALLY careful with social networking. I know it's been said a million times, but there is obviously a need to reiterate that the internet contains millions of Evil Hamsters, Stalkers, Perverts, Thieves, etc., who are not afraid to cross the line and hurt you!
Please stay safe and don't trust anyone on the other side of your computer screen......even your friends can have their accounts hacked!!!

With all of the Facebook scams that take place on a daily basis, it’s hard to tell when someone is actually telling the truth. Often cryptic status updates are ignored and chalked up to teenage mood swings or a silly cry for attention, but sometimes something more serious is going on.
On Saturday a teenage girl was found dead just 3 days after she told her friends on Facebook that she had a stalker. The body of 17-year-old Emily Longley was uncovered in Bournemouth, Dorset on Saturday morning. She had worked at Topshop, the trendy U.K. retailers, and lived with a relative in Bournemouth, England.
The aspiring model posted “I have a stalker!!!” to her Facebook account last Wednesday, later adding “Someone just called me and I was like ‘Who’s this?’” She continued to post about the stalker saying “And they were like ‘You don’t know me but I know everything about you’ and I was like ‘How did you get my number?’ and he was like ‘I’ll tell you when I see you’ and kept asking me out.” She then added, “So I hung up and they won’t stop calling” and “I’m really scared! Ha. It’s a private number as well. Some people need to get a life!”
Her last post was on May 5th where she claimed to be “Down and out.” Her body was discovered in a bungalow in Queenswood Avenue 2 days later.
According to a spokesperson for Dorset Police, two men from Bournemouth ages 17 and 19 were arrested on Saturday but released on bail. The cause of death is undetermined but Longley’s father reports that she died in her sleep.
Obviously Longley’s death is a huge shock to her parents who plan to travel to England to find out what happened to their daughter. Friends of the aspiring model have set up a Facebook group in commemoration called “R.I.P Emily Longley” and already hundreds of people have left comments.
The death is still under investigation, and Detective Inspector Neil Devoto has encouraged anyone who has witnessed any strange activity in the area occurring on Friday night or Saturday morning or has any information about the incident to contact the police.
A story like this brings me near tears. No one stepped in or contacted the police about the stalker and now a young girl is dead. Her entire News Feed saw those messages, did anyone worry? On Friday we reported on a teen that posted a threat he received to his Facebook account and was killed 2 days later. Hopefully these kinds of cases will convince people to take what is posted on Facebook more seriously because sometimes lives are at stake.

Sex column: "The Nonconsensual Play Party Voyeur" and vain attempt at catchup

I clearly don't have much time to update this blog - not sure if/when that will change but you can keep up to date by becoming my fan on Facebook, where I post articles I've written and news mentions. You can also keep up with me daily on Twitter (@raquelita) and Tumblr, where I also offer free books to Amazon reviewers when they're out (right now I am looking for 20 reviewers for the extremely hot Best Bondage Erotica 2011 - click here for details, until that link is no longer active and I've gotten all my reviewers lined up, that book comes out in November, just in time for my 35th birthday).

My latest Secrets of a Sex Writer column is called The Nonconsensual Play Party Voyeur.

When I was in my mid-twenties and just starting to discover my kinkiness, I went to a lot of play parties. I was never much of a participant, but I liked being a voyeur, seeing the things I’d previously only read about come to life right before me. I could watch someone—not porn stars, just regular people—get punched, spanked, flogged, whipped, tickled, teased, tortured, fisted, live and in person.

Attending events taught me there was a community of fellow perverts who were into some of the same things I was, and even if we didn’t share a specific kink, there was a commonality of spirit. I liked the rules that went along with BDSM, the mantra of “safe, sane and consensual.” That made complete sense to me.

Over the past few years, I’ve shied away from public sex or play parties because I prefer my bouts of limited exhibitionism to take place in other arenas. Recently, though, I found myself at a party I hadn’t consented to attend—I hadn’t even known it was a play party.

I can’t reveal too much about the logistics or specifics, but I can say that because I wasn’t prepared, I felt not only out of place, but extremely uncomfortable. I didn’t have a date, which I don’t mind, but I couldn’t relax. I was surrounded by complete strangers and had to wait to get a ride in order to leave. I felt trapped.

Read the whole thing at SexIs Magazine.

I wrote about the big new national sex survey and quoted Debby Herbenick, PhD, and author of Because if Feels Good, at Lemondrop, where I wrote about my tattoo (and garnered 344 comments, none of which I've read, because I'm smart like that).

I have two very exciting interviews coming up at Lemondrop, so stay tuned, and will soon be writing for the must-read site, The Nervous Breakdown, whose book club I also highly recommend (first two picks were Room by Emma Donoghue and Exley by Brock Clarke). It's $9.99 a month in the U.S. and books arrive at your door, along with, at times, bonus books, like the Merge Records history. Presents in the mail and intelligent discussion about them and unexpected literary treasures? Do check it out.

My 2010 IPPY Gold Award winning book Do Not Disturb: Hotel Sex Stories (click to watch sexy SoHo Grand-shot champagne, lingerie and kissing book trailer and read TOC and intro) was given a shoutout in Canada's Globe and Mail as a good book to read for those who want to talk dirty. I concur! From the piece:

Your boyfriend has (like many men) never fully expounded on what it is he wants? Divert. Pick up an anthology of erotica. Suggestions: Do Not Disturb, edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel; Lips Like Sugar, edited by Violet Blue or Russell Smith’s collection Diana: A Diary in the Second Person. Propose story time and read aloud to your paramour. Note carefully what each of you responds to. Even if you do not get to the end of the story, you may want to keep your librarian glasses on.

Erotica gives you a script. You did not invent this naughty story; you are merely one of its players. Talking dirty makes for role-play. And role-play? Ms. Rosenblat says: “Once you are in character, it is the perfect way for women to give feedback. Then he feels like a porn star and she gets the sex she wants.”

My reading series In The Flesh ends December 16th with a blowout event. The next reading is October 21st, Orgasm Night, with 5 (yes, 5!) readers from all over the country from my book Orgasmic: Erotic Stories for Women plus authors I'm so lucky to have and you will not want to miss! See the site for full lineup. Also mark your calendars: I'm having a public 35th birthday celebration and Passion: Erotic Romance for Women reading, again with authors coming in from Berkeley and Washington, DC (aka, not people you can see here all the time). That, along with free cupcakes, happens November 11th at 7 pm at Word, 126 Franklin Avenue, Greenpoint, Brooklyn, right off the G train.

Look for Passion ads in the November issue of Romance Writers Report (for the Romance Writers of America authors reading this) and on the sites Romance Divas and Smart Bitches Trashy Books. I need bloggers for the virtual book tour in November - you get an assigned day in November and in exchange you get a free book and write about it on that day. Email passionateantho at gmail.com with your URL and mailing address! The sexy kissing book trailer will be out soon too.

My calls for submissions page has now been updated to reflect the calls for the 2011 collections Women in Lust, a couples erotica anthology and Going Down: Oral Sex Erotica. My 2012 calls will be coming soon.

And October 16-17 I will be walking 39 miles in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Wish me luck! Click on that link if you'd like to donate.

This is what happens when I don't blog for a while. Ha! I'm working on not making promises or plans I can't keep, so again, use the links above to find me, and I occasionally post photos from my iPhone to Flickr. Like this one from when I was sitting at a Starbucks in Burbank and saw the Los Angeles Times folded to reveal this:
