The world has been void of seeing David Beckham in underwear for nearly two years (You have to remember those Emporio Armani ads from ’09), and while coping with that void has been daunting, the end is near. The footballer is teaming up with Swedish based retailer, H&M, to create a bodywear line for men (as if us gays needed another reason to go to H&M).
Launching just in time for Valentine’s Day 2012, the bodywear line will be available in around 1800 H&M stores in around 40 countries worldwide, and will mark the beginning of what is to be a long term partnership.
“Over the past year, I’ve been developing my bodywear range with my team and I’m extremely positive about what we have designed and produced,” said David Beckham. “The final piece in the jigsaw was a retail partner who has the vision and capability to distribute these products globally. In H&M we have found the perfect partner to collaborate with going forward, I’m excited and looking forward to showcasing the range to H&M customers from February.”
Who wouldn’t want to get into David Beckham’s underwear?
…or wear them, if you’re into that sorta thing (insert: wink).
