Zippo is about to launch new products sice their sales has droped from 18 to 12 million lighters annually due to fewer smokers. This will be very interesting to follow.
They have got the basics right, “A brand is just a story attached to a product. Like any narrative, it carries sensation. Zippo’s story is ‘manly independence,” but when it comes to the products they are concidering they just blend in, travel bags, backpacks, watches, sunglasses, jeans and leisure shirts, wallets, pens, liquor flasks, outdoor hand warmers, playing cards and even a fragrance.
Insn't there any other product that can become the new Zippo?

Come on, sunglasses or a fragrance. We hope they come up with something better than this.
