Graduation is always a time to look forward and ponder about the future. I am sure this has certainly crossed your minds. However, graduation nights are always the most memorable thing that will be etched in each and every one's mind.
Before the graduation night, we even had the chance to choose who to pair up with of the opposite gender (obviously everyone wants to go with someone they like)! It was exhilarating. It's like, you finally got the courage to actually go up to this person to ask for a date. As for me, this guy came up to me. Well, I accepted his request of course! He was my bestest friend since Secondary One. He used to have a crush on me, and our friendship I know has always been going strong.
The night of my graduation at the well-known Swissotel, was such an unforgettable one. Students came in with at least a partner of the opposite gender by their side. The night where many came together as one, realizing how much time had really pass and how we all grew up as a cohort. From there, I looked around and all my thoughts slowly resurface in my mind on how my classmates and I have spent the 5 years together. I would say being a student is fun. You get the chance of being scolded by a teacher, being late for school, getting caught for this and that, etc..
All of us dressed in our best outfits came for the graduation night. There wasn't any theme we had to follow exactly to, so it was great to see every one in their own style of fashion sense. Cocktail party was before the graduation night, where most people came to mingle around, I was one of them. These are the following items that happened during the night:-
Item 1: We had a "drama" performed by the ex school mates of ours. It gave us a motivation to our future endeavour.
Item 2: Teachers came out with different performance that range from singing to belly dancing! It was unbelievable.
Item 3: We had photo taking sessions, where everyone went gaga over their teachers. As you know, girls will think that this male teacher is hot & boys will think that this female teacher is pretty and all. Well, its for the fun of it!
Item 4: My most favorite item was the runway fashion show! Students, teachers & ex school mates came out on stage to strut their outfits. It was simply awesome, especially with someone like me who likes being updated with the latest fashion and trends.
Item 5: Students from different classes went on stage to also give their final heartfelt speech to respective teachers, some of which made tears formed in the eyes of our beloved teachers.
I would say that everything was indeed touching. When everything concluded and came to an end, I know there was sadness in every one's heart. Hugging our teachers, wishing them the best and them wishing us the best too, were something very emotional. Before I left, my congratulations and best wishes went out to each and every one of my friends, as they embark on their next adventure in life.
That night was the best night of my life and the whole graduation night events will be vividly remembered by me (:
