A 21-year-old woman found dead after falling from a tree near Wardwell and Frederick Streets on Saturday afternoon was an aspiring fashion designer, according to the Connecticut Post.
Jasmine Brown, who was born in New Orleans and lived in New York City, was seen earlier in the afternoon by a priest nearby who told police that she was naked and hugging a tree.
According to Captain Richard Conklin of theStamford Police Department, police suspect that Brown, who was attending the Art Institute of New York City, was high on PCP at the time of the incident, but toxicology reports of what was actually in her body could take several weeks.
Brown's grandmother and great aunt told the Post that Brown wasn't known as a drug user and described her as a religious person.
The priest that saw Brown before her death Saturday afternoon called 911, but she was gone when police officers arrived. Less than an hour later, passers-by called in reports of an unconscious woman lying underneath a tree a few blocks away.
Conklin told the Post that Brown was naked and her clothes were found hanging in the tree 25 feet above the ground.
