Folks - you were stupid to balance your books after learning the hard way 2 years ago that you can't spend beyond your means. Cutting your household spending so that it does not exceed what you bring in is twisted thinking according to our liberal ruling class:

The US House is set to pass a bill that will cut spending to partly fix what is a spending problem (eureka!) that includes a balanced budget amendment, and an increase in the debt ceiling. Obama claimed that if the debt ceiling is not raised, the Earth will implode, but then said he will veto the bill:

So politics over Armageddon. The federal government is already drunk on money and power, giving it more is like getting an alcoholic more alcohol to deal with his addiction.
